A preschool program centred around picture books.

Challenge

Design a comprehensive preschool program that incorporates STEAM, English language learning, music, drama, big ideas and essential questions, and a lot of picture books.

Solution

We created a program that explored big ideas and essential questions about the world around us through 144 picture books, each created at a particular language level and containing key English vocabulary. We used a whole-child approach to guide the development of the curriculum and activities, and incorporated dramas designed to review and provide opportunity for teachers to evaluate children’s progress.
